Job Description

Ohio Wesleyan University is a selective private undergraduate liberal arts residential institution founded in 1842 and located just 20 miles north of Columbus is seeking candidates for the position of Manager of Print/Mail Services. This is a salaried full-time position withbenefits.

About the position:

The Manager of Print/Mail Services provides leadership and vision and plans and directs all work activities of the Printing and Mail Services department. The Manager Printing and Mail Services manages daily operations establishes policies procedures and priorities for printing and postal operations coordinates the photocopy and bindery functions to achieve quality printing in a timely efficient and cost-effective manner and oversees the operation of the mail collection sorting and distribution facility. The Manager Printing and Mail Services is responsible for enforcement of University printing policies regarding all promotional materials and communications and use of the University logo and compliance with federal postal regulations in the receipt handling and distribution of all classes of mail.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Ensures that the Universitys printing service provides a quality printing service.
  2. Assures the ability of the Universitys printing service to remain competitive in order to operate on a self-supporting basis.
  3. Ensures that Printing and Postal Services has sufficient supplies and equipment for daily operations.
  4. Fosters continual service and product/process improvement continuously enhance customer service.
  5. Negotiate purchases for print shop mailroom facility and field offices.
  6. Operate high speed digital color and black & white printers.
  7. Set up and maintain a fiscal budget annually.
  8. Supervision of department staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years direct experience required with at least three years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have knowledge of printing mailing mechanical and digital services.
  • Demonstrated skills in quality production in the printing business.
  • Computer literacy is required.
  • Must be able to work with and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multi task.
  • This position regularly lifts and transports materials packages and equipment weighing up to seventy pounds.
