Experienced Household Manager/Personal Assistant

Location:Park Slope Brooklyn NY
Salary:$120000 - $170000 (based on experience)
Benefits:Health insurance 401(k) with 5% company match

Position Overview

Were seeking an exceptional self-managing House Manager/Personal Assistant who thrives on anticipating needs and taking initiative. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being the behind-the-scenes orchestrator of a busy household ensuring everything runs seamlessly without constant direction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Extensive experiencein a similar house management role
  • Travel coordination expertise- booking flights hotels rental cars restaurant reservations and handling all travel logistics
  • Vendor managementexperience with proven ability to research vet and coordinate service providers
  • Tech-savvywith strong organizational systems
  • Contract managementcapabilities
  • Must be kid-friendlyand comfortable in a family environment
  • Proactive mindset- we need someone who anticipates needs rather than waiting for direction

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations

  • Manage and coordinate household staff delegating tasks effectively
  • Handle grocery shopping and household supply ordering
  • Manage mail packages and deliveries
  • Coordinate dry cleaning pickup/delivery timing
  • Run errands (post office returns quick store runs)
  • Organize childrens belongings and spaces

Travel & Logistics

  • Coordinate all aspects of family travel (flights accommodations ground transportation dining)
  • Assist with packing and trip preparation
  • Handle flight check-ins and travel documentation
  • Complete paperwork (passport applications etc.)

Household Management

  • Research and coordinate service providers (plumbers realtors etc.)
  • Schedule and manage appointments
  • Organize and maintain household systems
  • Handle special projects (school research vendor sourcing)
  • Manage contracts and household documentation

Staff Coordination

  • Oversee other household staff members
  • Assign and follow up on tasks
  • Ensure smooth communication across the team

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Primary schedule: 9 AM - 6 PM (flexible for the right candidate)
  • Some work-from-home days possible
  • Occasional travel opportunities
  • Flexible scheduling based on household needs

Compensation Package

  • Competitive salary: $120000 - $170000 (commensurate with experience)
