About The Role:
Truro and Penwith Academy Trust together with the Local Monitoring Committee of Mousehole School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed teacher. Mousehole School is in a beautiful harbour village setting between Penzance and Lands End with excellent facilities and easy access to the most wonderful outdoor learning environments. The real strength of the school lies in the people staff children parents and governors we are proud of our school and work hard to provide a caring and stimulating environment for learning. We share an ethos which promotes high standards in academic achievement allied with a broad stimulating hands on curriculum. We celebrate and encourage the talents and skills of all our children. Our aim is to foster independent and curious learners who are able and willing to make a positive contribution to our community and society.
This is a job share position; you will be working closely with an experienced teacher. The person appointed will need to ensure that all pupils receive a good quality education through a programme designed to promote a stimulating style of learning in a safe and healthy school environment.
About You:
You will have a child-centred approach and will provide a creative inclusive and challenging curriculum which inspires and motivates children and supports high quality teaching and learning both indoors and out. Ideally you will have experience within the Early Years setting and Key Stage One and will share our vision and values to develop our lovely village school from September 2025. Individuals must demonstrate a significant contribution teamwork and flexibility to small primary school life.
We are committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and will be assessed against the Childcare Disqualification Regulations.
