Job Description

Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze and update standard costs of manufactured goods.
  • Maintain cost accounting system including cost rolls BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routings.
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual cost variance analysis (e.g. PPV labor efficiency material usage).
  • Conduct inventory valuation reconciliation and reporting (raw materials WIP finished goods).
  • Support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
  • Assist in preparing and analyzing manufacturing performance KPIs (e.g. yield scrap throughput).
  • Work with operations to monitor and explain variances between actual and standard costs.
  • Provide cost estimates for new product launches or changes to existing products.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for COGS and manufacturing overhead.
  • Assist with monthly closing process.
  • Support both Internal & External Audit requests.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Participate in ERP system enhancements related to cost and inventory modules.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 35 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of standard costing cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle).

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs pivot tables etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
