ABOUT THE ROLEKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate technologies across single or multiple manufacturing lines
Champion a strong safety cultureboth individually and as part of a team
Monitor maintain and improve product and process quality
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and waste; Participate in employee-led teams focused on reducing waste and improving performance
Utilize and analyze production data to identify appropriate next steps needed for issues; Resolve inefficiencies by applying root-cause problem solving methods and practices
Follow and help improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work
Support quick changeovers (SMED) and continuous improvement initiatives
Support audits and maintain compliance with GMP ISO and other standards
Embrace Lean Manufacturing tools like 5S Kaizen and Centerlining
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The individual must demonstrate the following competencies:
Demonstrated Math and Measurement skills- utilization of measurement tools (ruler hand gauges etc.) to measure to the 1/16 for quality inspection and detection and determine appropriate corrective actions required
Working knowledge of Safety and Health and Environment principles and practices
Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity
Demonstrated strength in problem solving and troubleshooting
SMED (Quick Changeover) experience
Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a team environment
Flexibility to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision to meet operational goals
Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite Products (Outlook Calendar and Email; Word Excel)
Good communication skills both verbal and written
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
Manufacturing technical degree or two (2) years of experience in a fast paced highly automated integrated continuous process flow manufacturing environment utilizing multiple technologies preferred
Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Environment preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS
On-site: This role works full-time in person at our production facility in Bay City Michigan. This role is not eligible for relocation support.
Schedule: Willingness to work rotating twelve (12) hour shifts on nights weekends and overtime as needed
Physical Abilities: Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs stand for long periods with a significant amount of walking/bending/twisting climb steps and ladders perform overhead work
Safety: Appropriate use and compliance to required PPE (steel toe safety shoes hearing protection eye protection)
