Location: Onsite Hazelwood MO

Reports To: Director of Programs

Schedule: Full-Time MondayFriday Rotating On-Call Weekends

Pay Range: $17.50 $22.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications

About Circle of Care St. Louis:

Circle of Care St. Louis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults and adults with disabilities maintain independence through quality compassionate care. We provide community-based services including Personal Care and Consumer Directed Services (PCS/CDS) across the St. Louis region. We are currently seeking a Medical Billing & EVV Specialist who is highly organized detail-oriented and passionate about problem-solving in a healthcare setting.

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for managing Medicaid billing and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) using Caresmartz 360 ensuring all services are documented billed and reconciled accurately. The Medical Billing & EVV Specialist will set up and maintain caregiver schedules resolve documentation issues and support field staff with technical and billing-related questions.


Key Responsibilities:

EVV Oversight & Caregiver Scheduling

  • Manage and monitor EVV entries using Caresmartz 360
  • Set up and maintain caregiver schedules in alignment with client authorizations and care plans
  • Contact caregivers to resolve clock-in/out issues and incomplete documentation
  • Provide onboarding and training support on EVV use and expectations
  • Track missed visits and ensure all exceptions are documented properly

Medicaid Billing & Claims Processing

  • Submit clean accurate claims via Emomed and other Medicaid payer portals
  • Follow up on claim denials correct and resubmit as needed
  • Reconcile remittance reports and apply payments correctly
  • Maintain audit-ready records in compliance with state regulations
  • Collaborate with the Director of Programs and the Finance & Operations Manager to ensure billing aligns with service plans

Rotating Weekend On-Call

  • Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule
  • Weekend availability is limited to remote response only (phone/system access)
  • Additional compensation is provided for on-call weekends

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Medicaid billing experience (PCS/CDS preferred)
  • Proficient in Caresmartz 360 Emomed and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail organization and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting or coordinating home care workers is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $17.50 $22.00 per hour based on experience
