If you are aControls Engineeringprofessional looking for an opportunity to grow Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in ourSIDNEY OHlocation you will be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team . This role is an integral part of successful implementation of Capital Projects and interfaces with employees at all levels of the organization. This position will assist and lead projects such as new product introductions procurement of new equipment financial justification process improvements troubleshooting equipment and assisting the Operations staff.
AS A SENIOR CONTROLS ADVANCED MANUFACTURING ENGINEER YOU WILL:
Design and improve process to be safer for employees.
Conceptualize & develop process improvements and cost reductions
Utilize automation and lean manufacturing principles to reduce cycle time and waste elimination
Read and understand mechanical drawings 2D & 3D as well as electrical and hydraulic drawings
Support all controls functions including PLC HMI and all electrical components
Support Automation which includes robotics servo and laser etch/cutting processes
Support and maintain PED UL and CE certification
Manage projects from concept and design through capital appropriation requests to qualification within project schedule and budget
Self-initiate corrective actions for quality concerns based on effective problem-solving skills and develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issues
Develop documentation for use by operators and maintenance technicians to perform their duties and assist them in troubleshooting
Background in Mechanical Engineering projects a plus.
Comply with all required safety and regulatory requirements
Be Proficient in both verbal and computer skills to effectively communicate to plant personnel Engineering Project Planning and external suppliers:
You will support manufacturing processes to achieve safety quality productivity and cost objectives. You will support projects by leading the automation and controls side of the project or action item. You will effectively interact with all employees at all levels of the organization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Bachelor Degree in Electronic Electrical or Mechanical Eng.
Experience with PLC (Allen Bradley).
3-5 years of experience.
Strong Controls background.
Ability to travel 15-30% (typically North American travel).
PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Fanuc Robotics.
5 years of controls engineering experience.
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
