Reporting to the Global Assistant Controller the Global Accountant is responsible for all aspects full-cycle month-end closing and acts as the backup for accounts payable. Duties may include but not limited to preparing journal entries cash disbursements cash receipts bank reconciliations balance sheet reconciliations and monthly schedules.
This position is part of Hydro and meteorology business unit located in Sterling Virginia and will be onsite.
In this role a typical day will look like:
Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger
Reviewing financial documents for accuracy
Prepare various general ledger reconciliations and work to resolve any discrepancies.
Support monthly closing and assist with year-end closing.
Analyzing financial data and providing recommendations
Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
Generating financial reports
Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
Preparing taxes or gathering tax documents.
Submits appropriate paperwork for monthly sales and use tax returns to various states
Supporting the Auditor Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
The essential requirements of the job include:
BA/BS in Accounting or related field
3-5 years accounting/finance or related experience.
Advanced technical skills in excel Erp and Power BI
Fluent in English

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $90000 - $120000 USD per job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
