Salary:The starting salary range for this role is: $79310 - $84872. *Candidate experience will be considered when determining the starting salary. This salary represents the first 3 steps in a 7-step salary band.

Location:The successful candidate will work primarily in our Aurora Office located at 15150 Yonge Street Suite 201 Aurora Ontario L4G 1M2 However this can change as operations require. This position requires travel within York Region & South Simcoe for group facilitation client visits training or meetings.

This position reports to and is supervised by the Director of Service for the Youth Innovation and Interprofessional Practice Program.

DIRECT REPORTS:The Manager People and Teams oversees approximately 20 to 25 direct-service staff from multiple programs. From time to time supervision will be provided to volunteers or students.

Job Profile:

The Manager provides the day -to- day management leadership supervision development and motivation of staff using empowerment and skill building approaches and works closely with People and Culture (P & C) to attract hire and retain qualified skilled individuals. The Manageris responsible for ensuring that service delivery staff act in accordance with provincial legislation which includes: Mental Health Act the Health Care Consent Act PHIPA Substitute Decisions Act and other relevant provincial statues and common law. In addition as a member of CMHA York Regions management team the Manager offers input and recommendations in a collaborative and effective manner to improve the processes quality and operations of all programs.

This role provides support and direction to staff through individual and team meetings and is responsible for the advancement of individuals within CMHA. The incumbent is responsible to identify and communicate the day-to-day dealings of this growing organization regarding any staff performance issues as well as training educational and development needs. The manager works within actual or functional collaboration models in decision making for the success of their team(s).

This role is responsible for managing staff across the Employment Program Clinical Therapy Program Rapid Access Psychiatry Program and the Newcomers Health and Well-Being Program. The manager will also supervise MSW students who play an integral role in the delivery and success of these programs.

DUTIES:

Within the matrix organizational structure the Manager works closely with the Director of Services (and potentially other peers) to ensure the best service and work experience.
