Job Description

Location: Port Adelaide SA

Aurizon is Australias largest rail freight operator and an integral part of the Australian economy moving over 250 million tonnes of commodities annually. With the recent acquisition of Flinders Logistics we are strengthening our presence in South Australia offering rail and port solutions that benefit customers across the region. About the role:

As Stevedore Coordinator youll lead the coordination of port-based transport activities ensuring safe efficient and reliable operations.

  • Plan and supervise daily stevedoring and transport tasks
  • Manage capacity and scheduling in alignment with customer agreements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on operational plans approvals and infrastructure works
  • Oversee safety service standards and compliance within the operational area
  • Support incident response and lead investigations as needed
  • Maintain accurate reporting and system records including rosters and payroll

About You:

Were looking for a hands-on leader with strong operational insight and experience in logistics or stevedoring environments.

  • Experience in logistics stevedoring or transport coordination
  • Proven leadership in high-volume safety-critical settings
  • Sound knowledge of safety management systems and compliance frameworks
  • Strong planning scheduling and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficient in using operational systems for planning reporting and data entry
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • Flexible and available to work on short notice including irregular hours and weekends as required
