Position Title
Physician - Internal Medicine: Gastroenterology: Hepatology
The University of Kansas Health System Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care as well as satisfying teaching research and academic responsibilities at the regions quaternary referral center.
The candidate should be fellowship-trained board certified or equivalent and eligible for licensure in Kansas. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
About the position:
Manage all aspects of liver disease. Essential functions include upper endoscopy procedure colonoscopy liver biopsies as well as patient visits in the outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultative services.
Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows residents and medical students.
Engage in clinical or basic science research.
Gastroenterology team comprised of 14 GI faculty 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty) 2 IBD Faculty and 20 APPs.
Endoscopy suites (Main campus - 6 and ASC/other outpatient center - 4; with expansion we will have additional rooms).
Call is every 5 weeks.
Participate in educational conferences.
