Qualifications:
Masters Degree required
Valid Texas teacher certificate required
Valid Principal Certification preferred
Five years of experience in teaching or job related area
Knowledge of curriculum design and development
Knowledge of instructional best practices
Knowledge of assessment
Knowledge of professional learning (including job-embedded professional development)
Leadership experience
Organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and lead the core content areas. The curriculum coordinator will work collaboratively to design and develop curriculum that engages students integrates technology and fosters high levels of student learning. The curriculum coordinator possesses knowledge of national and state standards current trends and issues in curriculum and research-based instructional practices.

Personal computer printer copier and a calculator.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Some district travel required. Infrequent moderate lifting.
