Job Description
The Iona University Athletic Department is currently inviting applications for an open Assistant Athletic Trainer position. Sports assignments will include but are not limited to Womens Soccer plus one additional sport. The individual in this position will provide preventative and rehabilitative health care to Iona University student-athletes. Responsibilities of this position include providing athletic training services to the Iona student-athletes for practices and games determining course of treatments for injured athletes consulting the Head Athletic Trainer and/or referring to Team Physician as needed and maintaining athletic training equipment and supplies. This individual will also assist in other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer.
A staff of nine Certified Athletic Trainers make up the Iona University Sports Medicine staff and oversee the medical care of Ionas 20 Varsity Sports.
