Job Description

Guardianhas a need for a Full-Time Resident Services Managerto join our team at Windsor Square!


Windsor Square is a Senior Living community in Marysville WA with 95 units.


Position Summary

This position requires a general knowledge of all department duties and operations. Must demonstrate proficiency in various resident services department techniques methods standards and general requirements for senior residents of independent living communities and senior living properties. Demonstration of appropriate techniques for resident services including programming events activities housekeeping dining services transportation and overall hospitality management. Must coordinate and communicate with all department supervisors and other team members in maintaining a holistic perspective of scheduled services for each resident. A successful candidate will have a continuous and consistent demonstrated interest in and knowledge about the senior residents and resident services staff that serve the residents and their needs and the competency to meet those needs on a consistent basis.


Schedule: 40 hours / week

Compensation:$26 / hr benefits!

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. The requirements listed below are representative but not exclusive of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • At least two years of experience in senior living assisted living or health care administration working in supportive services or a bachelors degree in related field of study.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.

Reasoning Ability

  • Identify and solve problems and recommend alternatives with limited information.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is required to manage all service staff at this facility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a senior living community and is specifically responsible for the quality of service provided to the residents.

Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations:

  1. Demonstrate a positive professional and client-oriented attitude about the company with coworkers tenants clients and the public whether contact is by mail telephone or in person.   3. Approve department expenditures in accordance with company purchasing policies and property budgets.
  4. Develop and implement strong leadership organizational and communication skills in the management of all care staff. Appropriately delegate responsibility with necessary authority without relinquishing overall responsibility and accountability for the delegated task.
  5. Develop and implement staffing schedules for dining housekeeping transportation and activities.
  6. Recruiting employee retention oversight and training of each department; housekeeping dining activities transportation and front desk.
  7. Maintain complete and accurate resident and employee files and records according to company systems with an emphasis on documentation for future reference. Ability to read and interpret resident files Follow confidentiality guidelines for all resident property owner and management company information at all times.
  8. Manage resident relations present information respond to questions and concerns and communicate effectively especially in emergency and inflammatory situations.
  9. Attend periodic industry meetings training events and functions. Responsible for compliance to all federal state and local regulations and laws. Follow all health department OHSA safety and infection control practices. Meet the standards of the Health Department at all times.
  10. Liaison with other disciplines/departments within the company to provide a team approach to the management of this property. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between departments and with coworkers. Prepare and lead department staff meetings and participate in monthly safety meetings.
  11. Accurately record time worked and ensure that site staff adhere to time keeping guidelines. Obtain approval for any overtime and help site staff coordinate their schedules to avoid overtime when possible.
  12. Keep abreast of new technologies systems and procedures related to property management.
  13. Other duties as assigned by the Portfolio Manager and Executive team.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand walk sit and reach with hands and arms.

This person may be required to clean and perform minor maintenance service as needed ie replace smoke alarm batteries remove/replace switch covers tighten loose screws etc.

Technology Knowledge and Skills

Must be able to perform basic bookkeeping tasks in the process of spenddown spreadsheets staff schedules and creating budget/accounting reports agreements and reconciliations.

Employees are regularly required to use internet programs Microsoft Office suite email recruitment and property management software as well as training and time-keeping programs in the daily operation of the site.

Expected Hours of Work

Your expected hours worked each week are specified in your Payroll Employment Understanding. However Resident Services Managers must be available to help residents as needed which requires some flexibility and may require working outside of regular business hours. Availability to be contacted by phone and email outside of scheduled hours for resident or staffing emergency situations may be required.

  • This role does not require travel.

  • Trips from your home to your community office are considered regular commuter travel and not eligible for mileage reimbursement under IRS regulations.
