Job Description

Position: Football Assistant Coach - Coordinator

Department: Athletics

Campus: North Manchester IN

Target Hire Date:July 2025

Manchester University invites applications for a passionate and driven Football Assistant Coach - Coordinator to join our Athletics Department. This position plays a key role in supporting a successful NCAA Division III football program through leadership in coaching recruiting eligibility retention budgeting and game day management.

What Youll Do

  • Coaching & Team Management: Assist in developing student-athletes through organized practices training sessions and competitions. Promote safety and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Recruitment & Retention:Lead recruitment efforts focused on academic and athletic excellence. Collaborate with Admissions and Student Life to support student-athlete success and maintain strong retention rates.
  • Leadership & Development: Evaluate assistant coaches provide athlete feedback and contribute to departmental events and fundraising efforts.
  • Program Operations: Support budgeting equipment management travel logistics and game-day operations. Coordinate with Sports Information Athletic Training and Facilities teams.
  • Compliance & Eligibility: Monitor NCAA Division III and institutional compliance. Ensure all athletes meet eligibility standards.

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree or at least five years of coaching experience required
  • Experience with NCAA Division III athletics (as coach or athlete) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Commitment to the values of equity and inclusion
  • NCAA Division III Rules Test and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
