Electrical Systems Equipment Engineer Fabrication Division (Associate Mid-Level and Senior)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Equipment Engineers to join our Production Engineering organization in Auburn WA. This Electrical Equipment focused position will support exciting new endeavors in the Fabrication Division. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate Mid-Level and Senior engineers.

A successful candidate in this role will have passion creativity and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out on the production floor interacting with mechanics safety and equipment services and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety quality and integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

This is an equipment development implementation and improvement role. This role involves reviewing electrical schematics control panel designs and troubleshooting technical issues. Additionally the role requires project management testing and commissioning of automated system acquisition and modification projects:

  • Evaluate program and project requirements develop complex equipment concepts and design solutions for the Production System.
  • Compile and analyze technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design usability and rate estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety producibility maintainability reliability ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and release bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.
  • Troubleshoot current production issues related to quality safety and repeatability.
  • Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware and documentation.
  • Perform studies and make recommendations for disposition of assets.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (ABET is a preferred although not required accreditation standard)
  • 2 or more years related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Electrical Engineering Degree
  • 2 or more years of project management experience supporting complex technical projects evaluating/selecting equipment solutions and assessing electrical system requirements
  • 1 or more years of experience with programming languages such as Java and SQL
  • 1 or more years of experience working to industry standards related to electrical system design
  • Experience in Automation and robotics
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to collaborate across teams

Summary pay range for Associate Level (Level 2): $81600 - $110400

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $96050 - $129950

Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $118150 - $159850

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
