Job Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct reactive planned and preventative maintenance across a variety of manufacturing packaging and processing equipment
- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritise and complete engineering tasks efficiently
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to food safety and health & safety standards
- Accurately complete documentation and maintain audit-ready records
- Identify and recommend improvements for increased efficiency safety and reliability
- Contribute to continuous improvement and risk-reduction initiatives
- Support with installations modifications and equipment upgrades
The ideal candidate will have:
- Time-served apprentice-trained engineer with a formal electrical qualification
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
- Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Strong fault-finding abilities both electrical and mechanical
- 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
- A proactive hands-on attitude with a passion for engineering excellence
Desirable Skills:
- IOSH qualification or other Health & Safety credentials
- PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience
- Familiarity with food industry compliance standards
