THALES Services Centre of Competence (SCC) are seeking to recruit a dynamic & experienced Senior Support Engineering Manager. This role will form part of the leadership team providing Integrated Logistic Support domain expertise and governance with delegated responsibility from the functions Head for a significant share of the ILS team. This group consists of Reliability Availability & Maintainability Engineers and Specialists Supportability Analysts Life-cycle Cost & Availability Modellers alongside DRACAS Analysts for our Support Engineering department.
The Support Engineering (ILS) Function is an integral part of the wider multi-disciplinary Through Life Support Engineering (TSE) Team. As part of this One-Team the successful individual will support and be supported by Teams of specialists in Tech. Pubs Training Obsolescence managers Component Engineers and Service Solution Architects. Together we deliver optimal availability and value for our customers and the business.

What will you deliver
Responsible for the delivery of all outputs within own perimeter - ensuring On Time Delivery quality requirements and budgets are met setting targets monitoring progress measures effective cost maintenance and expenditure control within local work packages.
Determine key dependencies of information; project management engineering safety quality airworthiness supply chain procurement etc.
Engage with the leadership of these business functions and drive for improved collaboration connectivity and relationship building.
Create communication channels to keep all customers appraised of progress risks issues and opportunities within own area of responsibility.
Understand assigned BUs strategic objectives determine how ILS team can contribute to achieving these or where obstacles exist determine if these can be mitigated by ILS teams tools experience and capabilities. Articulate these mitigations to leadership
Keep up to date with emerging technologies that can be employed to drive efficiency or increased accuracy within ILS teams deliverables e.g. reliability predictions spares demand forecast accuracy etc.
Engage with local BU senior management to understand pre-empt and meet business objectives.
Create/lead a team of suitably qualified and skilled individuals to deliver assigned tasks foster connectivity between individuals and other ILS teams across TUK.
Who are we looking for
Ideally Degree qualified Chartered or have significant experience.
Ideally experienced in either naval aerospace land or comparable domains with defence equipment
Experience in the effective management of delivery of ILS commitments as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) in a customer-facing role to time and budget constraints.
Programme Management knowledge.
Involvement in Bid Support:
Requirements capture
Analysis
Documentation generation
Cost estimation.
Practical experience in processing traditional ILS activities including:
Reliability Availability Maintainability & Testability
Logistic Support Analysis Repositories (e.g. Raytheon EAGLE software or similar)
Through-Life Modelling (ideally Systecon OPUS Suite or similar)
Support of Integrate Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) development.
Conversant with Microsoft Office Toolset.
Experience in ILS support of Military equipment would be an advantage.
Able to travel when required to support face to face meetings with parts of the team at different sites or customer locations.
