Fixed Term Contract until Feb 2026

JOB PURPOSE:

Were looking for an Event Planner and Executor to join our marketing team. In this role youll be instrumental in developing and delivering engaging event initiatives that inspire engage and delight our buyers. The role requires someone with extensive events experience delivering at exhibitions festivals and various other consumer events on behalf of our brand. Working closely with both internal teams and external partners youll ensure our events directly support eBays strategic objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Stakeholder Liaison: Oversee all event initiatives from conception to completion ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams and external partners. Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders for event logistics managing communications and aligning expectations.
  • Event & Hub Strategy: Develop the overall event strategy for buyer acquisition; lead the Activation BuildHub design and build strategy.
  • Event production and logistics such as bump-in and bump-out plans floor plans staffing team travel etc
  • Agency & Vendor: Manage the partner agency for activation including design and execution. Along with event organisers

SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven Event Management Track Record: 3-5 years of experience in end-to-end event planning and execution ideally within a corporate or brand environment. Experience with large-scale activations multi-city events and managing external agencies required.
  • Logistics Mastery: Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics including floor plans bump-in/bump-out merchandise inventory storage and staff rostering across multiple locations
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Experience in effectively sourcing negotiating with and managing a diverse range of vendors and agencies (e.g. design build staffing).
  • Budget Acumen: Proven ability to manage budgets track expenses and work efficiently within financial constraints.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Experience in liaising with various stakeholders including internal teams external partners speakers and guests.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong ability to create and adhere to detailed timelines manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure all deliverables are met on schedule.

  • Exceptional Communicator & Negotiator: Clear concise and professional communication (both written and verbal) is paramount for managing diverse stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills are essential for securing the best deals with vendors.
  • Team Player & Leader: While capable of working autonomously they should also be adept at collaborating with and leading internal teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A genuine desire to create positive and memorable experiences for eBay buyers ensuring the brand is represented effectively and welcomingly.
  • Positive & Resilient: Maintain a positive attitude demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges and remain calm under pressure.
  • Brand Ambassador: Someone who understands and can passionately convey the eBay brand values to attendees and partners.
  • Deep understanding of our enthusiast communities - fashion cars and /or trading cards is a bonus
