About the role
Come work at Calvary Adelaide Hospital South Australias largest private Hospital.
Experienced Chef with minimum ten years experience in a busy commercial kitchen required. Rotational shifts providing breakfast lunch and dinner. Working in a team to provide nutrition for 250 plus per day. You will be working under pressure to get the job done but you will be doing a job that matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and production of food as required
- Prepare and present special menu items showing variety and flair
- Review stock and ensure rotation and minimum wastage.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and operational during your shift.
- Undertake Food safety Supervisor training
- Place stock orders on a rotational basis
What you bring
- Experience as a Commis chef within a fast pace dynamic environment
- A certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
- Advanced and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills & grooming standards
- Understanding of HACCP principles and practices
- Ability to multitask and react to a dynamic environment.
- Available to work varied shifts including early mornings late evenings weekends and public holidays.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
