Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital Behavioral Health Unit Activities Coordinator (Recreational Therapist)

Position Summary: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is opening a behavioral health unit soon. We are looking for a full-time Activities Coordinator to join the team.

Primary responsibilities include providing direct and individualized care to patients including:

Works with internal and external resources to plan set up and coordinate patient activities.

Designs evaluates and recommends program and policy development.

Develops promotes and evaluates marketing departmental services and outreach activities.

Develops and maintains relationships with community referral resources.

Develops and coordinates staff development/education activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Associates degree preferred.

Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

License and Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and Handle with Care.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year working in similar setting preferred.
