Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in data analysis systems integration business process analysis and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have experience in Ontario Public Sector (OPS) projects a deep understanding of data and IT systems and strong analytical capabilities to support digital transformation initiatives. and nbsp;

This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by working closely with stakeholders IT teams and project managers. The successful candidate will excel in data analysis systems optimization business process re-engineering and data-driven decision-making to drive operational efficiency. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
Key Responsibilities and nbsp;
1. Data and amp; Systems Analysis and nbsp;
- Lead the elicitation analysis and documentation of data and system requirements. and nbsp;
- Develop core data analysis artifacts including: and nbsp;
- Data Requirements Documents (DRD) and nbsp;
- System Requirements Documents (SRD) and nbsp;
- Data Models (ERD UML Data Flow Diagrams etc. and nbsp;
- Use Cases and amp; User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria. and nbsp;
- Analyze business challenges and recommend strategic technology solutions. and nbsp;
- Data analysis and mapping and nbsp;
- Extract data from databases via querying languages such as SQL and LINQ and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
2. Business and amp; Requirements Analysis and nbsp;
- Lead the elicitation analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements. and nbsp;
- Develop core business analysis artifacts including: and nbsp;
- Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and nbsp;
- Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) and nbsp;
- Process Models (BPMN UML Data Flow Diagrams Swimlane Diagrams etc. and nbsp;
- Use Cases and amp; User Stories with well-defined acceptance criteria. and nbsp;
- Analyze business challenges and recommend strategic technology solutions. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
3. Stakeholder Engagement and amp; Communication and nbsp;
- Act as the bridge between business units IT teams and external vendors. and nbsp;
- Facilitate requirements workshops Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and stakeholder interviews. and nbsp;
- Collaborate with Product Owners Project Managers Developers and QA teams to ensure clarity in requirements. and nbsp;
- Present findings reports and recommendations to executive leadership and senior stakeholders. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
4. Systems Optimization and amp; Digital Transformation and nbsp;
- Conduct systems analysis and optimization to improve business efficiency. and nbsp;
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation. and nbsp;
- Lead systems re-engineering initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals. and nbsp;
- Support implementation of data-driven decision-making strategies using analytics. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
5. Agile and amp; Project Support and nbsp;
- Work within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall project environments applying appropriate data analysis and business analysis techniques. and nbsp;
- Support Product Owners in backlog refinement prioritization and roadmap planning. and nbsp;
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that data and business requirements are properly translated into technical specifications. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
6. Business Readiness and amp; Change Management (Support Role Only) and nbsp;
- Ensure that business stakeholders are prepared for new processes systems or automation initiatives. and nbsp;
- Work closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to align business expectations and minimize resistance to change. and nbsp;
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to support smooth transitions and long-term sustainability. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
1. Data and amp; Business Analysis and amp; Requirements Management 35 and nbsp;
- Proven experience in gathering analyzing and documenting data system and business requirements. and nbsp;
- Expertise in Business Analysis working Visio diagrams and swim lane diagrams
- Ability to define use cases user stories and acceptance criteria for IT solutions. and nbsp;
- Strong analytical skills for identifying business problems and proposing solutions. and nbsp;
- Experience in systems re-engineering and workflow optimization. and nbsp;
- Experience with database analysis and SQL language. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
2. Stakeholder Engagement and amp; Communication 25 and nbsp;
- Ability to effectively liaise between business users IT teams and external vendors. and nbsp;
- Experience leading requirements workshops JAD sessions and stakeholder interviews. and nbsp;
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills for communicating business needs to technical teams. and nbsp;
- Strong negotiation and facilitation skills to align diverse stakeholder interests. and nbsp;
3. Technical and amp; Tools Proficiency 15 and nbsp;
- Hands-on experience with data and business analysis tools including: and nbsp;
- JIRA Confluence Azure DevOps (for requirements tracking and amp; project collaboration). and nbsp;
- Visio and nbsp;Lucidchart MIRO (for process modeling and workflow visualization) figma
- SharePoint MS Teams (for document management and amp; team collaboration). and nbsp;
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making tools (Power BI SQL Advanced Excel) is a plus. and nbsp;
- Knowledge of ERP CRM or Cloud-based business solutions is an asset. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
4. Systems Optimization and amp; Digital Transformation 20 and nbsp;
- Experience leading systems re-engineering initiatives to improve efficiency. and nbsp;
- Ability to identify automation opportunities and workflow enhancements. and nbsp;
- Understanding of Agile (Scrum Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies to support IT teams. and nbsp;
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. and nbsp;
and nbsp; and nbsp;
5. Public Sector (OPS) Experience 5 and nbsp;
- Prior experience working in Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or other government environments. and nbsp;
- Familiarity with OPS governance frameworks (Stage Gate ITIL security policies etc.. and nbsp;
- Understanding of OPS procurement regulatory compliance and service delivery models. and nbsp;
Must Have:
- Experience delivery in a tight deadline and high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills leading and hands-on exp.
- experience working on large budget and full life cycle of a project
