Job Description
Adelphi is seeking Board-Certified Forensic with Adult Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric services in various counties across New York State. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting clinical assessments and delivering psychiatric care in secure or high-acuity settings particularly with individuals involved in the justice system. Job Quick Facts Ref#: BDProfession: Physician Specialty: Forensic with Adult Psychiatrist Job Type: Contract Location: Multiple counties New York State Coverage Type: Onsite (Limited telehealth flexibility where allowed) Service Setting: Forensic / Secure Psychiatric Facility Facility Type: Secure Behavioral Health Centre Shift Schedule: Full-time preferred; flexible per facility need Compensation: $225 - $250 p/h Requirements: MD or DO with Psychiatry Residency completion Board Certification in Forensic Psychiatry Active New York medical license in good standing DEA and NPI credentials Training in risk assessment and forensic evaluation methodologies Clearance for high-security settings and background checks CPR/BLS certification Responsibilities: Conduct competency criminal responsibility and risk assessments Provide forensic psychiatric care to patients in secure facilities Collaborate with legal teams courts and clinical providers Deliver expert testimony as needed Document forensic evaluations and treatment notes in EMRs Participate in clinical and forensic case conferences
