Production Associate 1st Shift

Pay Rate: $17.00 Per Hour

Shift: 1st Shift 6AM-4:30PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows in a manufacturing environment. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced physically demanding and repetitive work environment which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Performs repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows doors and glass units. In addition it may support the window operations in delivering wrapping loading and unloading of materials or windows
• Must work safely
• Performs any workstation function using hand or power tools saws welders or routers
• Understand and carry out oral instructions. Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders labels and schedules. Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview)
• Inspect examine and observe for product defects. Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operates any equipment needed to perform a job
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Experience in manufacturing or installing windows preferred
• Knowledge of manual dexterity required for operating machinery
• Must be a team player
• This job requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions

Mental/Physical/Visual Demands

• While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand 
• The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear
• The employee must repetitively lift push and/or move 50 pounds unassisted
• Must be able to pass a background check

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job the average plant temperature conditions range from 60 in the cooler months and up to 100 during the warmer months
• All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear hearing protection and safety-toe and/or metatarsal shoes
• Some workstations require additional personal protective equipment to include but not limited to gloves arm guards and leather aprons

• Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
