Scope of Responsibilities:
Legal Oversight: Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of matters including commercial contracts regulatory compliance corporate governance and employment law.
Compliance Management: Develop implement and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to local and EU regulations particularly in the energy sector.
Commercial Focus: Translate regulatory developments into actionable commercial strategies identifying opportunities for business growth and competitive advantage.
External Coordination: Manage and coordinate support from multiple external legal firms ensuring consistent and high-quality input during contract negotiations and other legal matters.
Contract Management: Draft review and negotiate contracts with clients suppliers and partners ensuring legal soundness and alignment with business objectives.
Risk Mitigation: Identify legal and compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities and ensure timely reporting and communication.
Policy Development: Establish and maintain internal policies and procedures to promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal and compliance topics to foster awareness and understanding across the organization.
Collaboration: Work closely with the management to support strategic initiatives and ensure legal integrity in all business activities.
Group Coordination: Cooperation with MET Groups international legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with group-wide standards and policies.
Qualifications :
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
Education: Masters degree in Law.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of Polish and EU energy regulations corporate law and compliance frameworks.
Bar exam qualification is considered an asset but not a strict requirement for this role.
Skills: Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills. Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into practical business advice.
Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to align legal and compliance strategies with commercial goals and to identify business opportunities arising from regulatory changes.
Independence: Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Language: Fluency in Polish and English.
