The Electrical Engineering Trainee / Designer will support the design and drafting of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of hands-on experience a strong understanding of AutoCAD and a keen interest in enhancing their engineering/design expertise in the industrial mining or related industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design drafting and detailing of electrical systems for industrial or mining projects using AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and designers to develop electrical schematics single-line diagrams and layout plans.
- Prepare electrical drawings for project construction ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support the preparation of technical documentation including specifications calculations and reports.
- Participate in the coordination of design activities with multidisciplinary teams ensuring all electrical design aspects are aligned with the overall project requirements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Technology or related field (or equivalent technical training).
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical design and drafting preferably in industrial mining or related environments.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D and 3D drafting) for electrical design.
- Familiarity with electrical design standards and regulations specific to industrial or mining.
- Strong analytical computer and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid Class G drivers license.
