Responsibilities as a Lab Coordinator :
Coordination of operational lab activities including: Leading regular lab team meetings managing incoming lab requests tracking and distributing actions within the team acting as an interface to other groups and departments ensure that key performance indicator (KPI) targets of all lab areas are achieved.
Coordination of the labs technical capabilities ensuring up to date documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) tracking and coordinating machine maintenance & consumable stocks streamlining procedures and identifying gaps in current capabilities.
Interfacing and & communication to requesters from different functions and regions: Lead meetings with an extended team including lab requesters handle escalations and provide guidance on the selection of most suitable test methods.
Operational lab activities including people leadership support and coaching of lab personnel.
Leading function as a safety responsible for the assigned areas and acting as an interface to the regional safety committee taking accountability for assigned actions procedures and required documentation.
Responsibilities as a Weathering Technologist :
Providing expertise in durability & weathering of polymers and self-adhesive films.
Accountable for all tests performed in the EU weathering lab and outdoor weathering site.
Technical consulting and regular exchange with requesters and stakeholders on weathering-related topics.
Technical guidance and supervision of weathering lab technicians.
Manage suppliers and service partners for weathering equipment.
Development of new weathering methods and evaluation of novel test approaches.
Qualifications :
HBO BSc degree related to Materials Science Polymer Chemistry or comparable field.
Experience in people management and leading a team.
2-5 years of work experience in a lab environment preferably related to the development of polymers film constructions or coatings.
Knowledge on polymers chemistry of polymeric materials preferably knowledge on adhesives.
Knowledge on testing and analysis of polymeric materials.
Knowledge in polymer degradation and aging.
Well-organized
High level of accuracy and attention to details
High level of independency
Service-oriented and proactive attitude
Good communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
