As Food Demand Coordinator you will work close with different supply functions to secure product availability for our customers by taking operational responsibility for distribution in selected markets.
In collaboration with your team in Milano Range Area Food in Core Business Range and other supply chain partners you will support IKEA retailers through a variety of operational tasks such as ensuring smooth range change commercial activities as well as expansion initiatives.
You will be joining a diverse and experienced team with helpful colleagues who enjoy working in fast-paced environment and growing organization. In your role you will be responsible for one or several retail markets and:
- Secure operational performance in Supply Chain Operations from end-to-end perspective within given scope and regional business team.
- Together with regional business team regularly review and provide input to supply chain partners to secure optimal replenishment solution and logistic set-up set up by identifying patterns of underperformance non-compliance deviations potential risks and supply constraints.
- Support Market Operations Forums in markets under scope through high-quality on time- and fact-based communication and stakeholder management of all participants (supply chain and retailers) and leading the initiatives required to reach operational excellence. Support and take the lead for distribution part in emergency response situations.
- Will be first point of contact for assigned Retail partners on behalf of Supply Chain Operations.
- Analyze and evaluate (orders need forecast stock and sales) data to identify the risks of shortage in Distribution Centers and Stores and take actions to secure highest optimum availability at lowest cost.
- Coordinate Supply operations stream in expansion projects and establishment of new retail units in existing IKEA markets.
- Responsible for products availability via handling high inventory short shelf-life management Phase in / phase out process Range changes / Assortment management. Coordinate and execute global and local markets sales activities.
- Calculate the plan for all discontinued range / secure operational launch of new products.
- Register and maintain parameters for retail and range in the relevant business solutions.
- Coordinate physical movement of the goods and secure product compliance during export and import. Secure proper documentation related to movement of the product as needed in the customs clearance process.
- Plans and develop the product labeling at Distribution Centers and coordinate the process with relevant ESPs and internal stakeholders.

- Master Microsoft Office applications with proficiency in Excel and experience preferred with using an ERP system Infor M3 (Movex).
- Positive mind-set open and flexible to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Highly motivated with a passion for excellence in pursuit of business growth and success.
- Having related education background (university degree) in logistics / supply / business administration or relevant working experience
- Having preferably working experience within food logistics
- Fluent in English
