Job Description
Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen nitrogen hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals petrochemicals refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
The successful candidate will lead mentoring and training of facility maintenance staff in understanding the operation/maintenance of plant and equipment maintenance systems and general skill set of technicians.- Follows all Food Safety FDA and cGMP policies in operating practices.
- Actively pursuing own growth/career development through self-initiative practices; working with resources made available as coordinated with the supervisor.
- Instills safety in others by being safety minded; models good safety practices.
- Fosters open communication amongst all facility technicians in relation to best practices operational/facility needs safety issues/concerns conflicts of interest between shifts/other departments sharing operational knowledge/expertise.
- Assists/works closely with lead production technician or plant manager with daily facility needs.
- Work order generation; ensures accurate/complete information in maintenance work orders.
- Conducts acceptance PSSR reviews with operations and maintenance.
- Identifies potential needs enters them into MAXIMO.
- Keeps accurate records; diligent in documentation record retention policies/procedures.
- Determines if immediate maintenance action is required; documents it; reports to appropriate personnel.
- Studying/maintaining site-specific standard operating procedures P&IDs PFDs all other technical documentation as relates to operational/equipment processes.
- Escorting on-site contractors vendors guests or visitors throughout the facility as needed; ensures their compliance with national safety policies/procedures.
- Participation in facility safety meetings inspections.
- Follows policies/procedures on proper notification for vacation scheduling floating holidays personal days off
- Reports defective equipment and unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager in a timely manner.
- Schedules/Plan/Coordinate maintenance of ASU equipment pumps compressors valves and analytical equipment.
- Monitors Work Permits for contractors on site. Ensures that contractors on site follow Air Liquide SOPs and are qualified vendors. Communicates repair functions with plant management.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. Secures tools and equipment when not in use.
- Maintains facility maintenance records in an organized and timely manner.
- Maintains the plant HVAC system or contracts repairs as needed.
- Develops and Maintains PM schedules for Process Critical Equipment in the plant.
- Schedules cosmetic maintenance of the facility as needed including but not limited to mowing building repairs etc.
- Medical maintenance reports and assist in audits.
- Work with FSS to insure cost effective repairs and maintenance.
- Work with Maintenance team members for daily activities and resolve issues with the team completing job assignments.

High school diploma or GED required
2 years of related industrial operations experience
Ability to be on-call for plant emergencies. Including holidays and weekends
Overall understanding of plant safety rules regulations company safety policies/procedures
Performs all work in compliance with standard operating/maintenance procedures utilizing current Life Safety skills Safe Start and safety requirements including safe work permits energy control isolation IDLs confined space entry work hot work work plans pre-job discussions plant safety inspections etc
Acquiring knowledge/ability in all plant operations including processes/equipment
Exhibits understanding of governmental regulations including Food Safety FDA Current Good Manufacturing Practices and environmental permitting/compliance loading /quality assurance basic electricity national/local operating procedures CMMS maintenance management process all HSE issues associated with the facility
Exhibits mechanical ability
Preferred Requirements:
2 year Associates Degree in a technical field or technical training or 5 years of related industrial operations experience
