Pharmacy Delivery Driver PRIMARY FUNCTION The pharmacy delivery driver is responsible for picking up prescriptions each day at White House Clinic pharmacies and delivering them to patients or other sites.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES - Picks up prescriptions at White House Clinic pharmacies.
- Delivers prescriptions promptly efficiently and accurately to intended recipients both patients as well as other clinics.
- Communicates and resolves prescription delivery issues with pharmacy staff and patients.
- Maintains security and integrity of medication and devices throughout delivery process.
- Understands and communicates basic pharmacy language with insurance and prescription issues.
- Has patient sign acknowledgement of delivery.
- Ensures vehicle is maintained in a safe and proper working condition.
- Performs data collection as required.
- Maintains security of monies collected from patients and delivers to the pharmacy.
- Performs light maintenance work as requested.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Assists with other pharmacy duties or in other departments as needed as instructed by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Education:High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum Work Experience:N/A
- Required License:Valid Kentucky drivers license free from violations and accidents.
- Qualifications:Must relate to patients and staff in an understanding and courteous manner. Ability to work unsupervised handle money and maintain required paperwork.

- Maintains compliance with organizations policies as well as established practices protocols and procedures of the position department and applicable professional standards. Complies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information. Adheres to professional standards clinic policies and procedures (OSHA HIPAA Standing Orders etc.) federal state and local requirements Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) etc. Cooperates fully with all aspects of Corporate Compliance Plan and Standards of Conduct. Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
ACCOUNTABILITY Reports to the Facilities Manager.
SALARY $31000 - $48000 / year *Depending on experience* TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS May sit in vehicles for long periods of time or stand in the pharmacy for prolonged periods of time. Required to climb stairs. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment are also required. Position requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Employees will be required lift papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in a pharmacy office environment and will consist of traveling within the communities we serve. Work involves frequent contact with staff and the public frequent exposure to communicable disease toxic substances medicinal preparations and other conditions common to medical environment. Position may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Evening and/or weekend work is possible. Work may be stressful at times.
