Higher Level Therapy Support Assistant

Hedleys Collegeis a high-quality specialist further education and training provider. We provide education and training for young people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities who require specialist individual programmes to develop their communication independence and employability skills. We help our learner make successful transitions into adulthood within the Northeast region.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an individualto join the Therapy team within Hedleys College as Higher Level Therapy therapy team is comprised of Speech and Language Therapy Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy and work term time only supportingyoung people aged 16-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

The Higher Level Therapy Support role supports the delivery of therapy interventions to a delegated caseload of students on a group or individual basis under direction from the therapy team. The successful candidate will predominantly support our Physiotherapists but may also work closely with the wider therapy physiotherapy team have a strong focus on health and wellbeing; therefore this role involves a level of physical activity to support students with interventions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy (trampolining).

We are looking for an enthusiasticassertiveand adaptable individual to join the team. You would become part of an existing dedicated therapy team who strive to deliver best practice at all times.

This post will start in September 2025.
