Job Description

Earn $42000 To $85000 Yearly (In addition to hourly pay ($18 an hour)there is a monthly commission that is determined by how many customers you influence to purchase a vehicle at any of our three dealerships) We have a ton of resources via CRMs in which we have accessto over 100k potential customers. These arent cold calls these are previous customers or customers who are in the market already and customers who are using our service these resources and phone calls text and emails you will try to contact and advertise to as many potential buyers as possible. You will be paid hourly and in addition you will get paid for every customer that buys a vehicle ($20-$30 per vehicle) and an extra $5.00 for every appointment you make in which the customer shows up (regardless if they buy or not. If they buy you get $20-$30 for each sale and $5.00 for the appointment show) Since we work for three different stores and not just any dealership but dealers that rank among the top 10 in the country for how many cars they sell each month our best performer is bringing in over 150-200deals a month. We work at one store in Manassas but work on behalf of 2 other stores which means more customers which means higher commission (in addition to the $18.00 per hour) I am looking for someone who is motivated and able to to make phone calls at a consistent rate. I am flexible with scheduling and start times. I try to make it so that employees can have what works for them (starting at 10 and leaving at 6 or starting at 8 and leaving at 4 taking one day off during the week and working a Saturday etc)

I am flexible with scheduling. Some reps work 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. If you interview for this position I will be fully transparent and show you what our best reps are making on their comission and what the newest rep is making that way you have a realistic idea. We currently have 4 reps covering 3 big dealerships. Our office is in Manassas at the Lindsay Chrysler store and even though we work on behalf of other dealers we stay here the entire time. Your contact with a customer is limited to over the phone/text/email.

Lindsay CDJR of Manassas VAis a rapidly growing automotive dealership that is looking to hire a Business Development Representatives to join our Business Development Center (BDC).

BDC Representative Qualifications:

BDC Representative Responsibilities:

  • Generate appointments and quotes by means of proactive outbound prospecting and lead activity management to market to potential customers
  • Set appointments
  • Listen and be attentive to customer needs and priorities in order to provide appropriate suggestions and guidance on our vehicle offerings
  • Provide superior customer service and achieve the highest degree of customer satisfaction
  • Work in close partnership with sales consultants to provide qualified leads and detailed information on customer requirements
  • Meet specified monthly targets and goals
  • Check email frequently and respond to inquiries immediately
  • Deliver inquiries/messages intended for other sales personnel and departments promptly

What does a normal day look like for a BDC representative

We are flexible on scheduling. Some reps here work 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 10:00 AM- 6:00 PM. The shift would be Monday-Friday however if a rep wants to be off on a day during the week they can work Saturday to make up for those hours. For example one shift could be Tuesday-Saturday. Upon hiring we will do our best to work a schedulethat youare comfortable with and allows you to be productive and make upgrade pitches to service customers and contact as many potential buyers as possible.

In the morning all three stores will have a decent amount of customers in for service. These are customers that are coming in for everything from oil changes to major engine work. When appropriate and within reason the BDC will contact these service customers and see if they would like to consider trading in their current vehicle for an upgrade. We get 50 deals total a month from customers who are in service. Once the service customers are covered the BDC rep will use their CRM software in which there are hundreds of thousands of customers listed. The BDC rep contacts a customer by phone/text/email (using common sense on which method would be preferred) and using the guidelines that we teach attempts to bring the customer in to talk to a salesperson. with the hope of customer trading their vehicle in for an upgrade. We avoid coming off as telemarketers and our goal is to find situations in which the customer can trade their vehicle in and get a new model. It is not always difficult to sell a customer on this and thats thanks to Lindsays aggressive pricing. There are countless reviews of customers who had no ideathey qualified for the upgrade program and were surprisedand happy to walk away with a great deal on a new vehicle. As a BDC rep you will bridge these customers to the sales department.
