Job Description

Designer Contracts is the UKs largest flooring contractor operating across 13 regional facilities. As well as floor covering the company provides curtains and blinds furniture and lighting.

We have been supplying and installing across the nation since 1992 and now employ over 350 staff members with an annual turnover in excess of 40 million. Our valued staff are our key asset.

Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our friendly team based in Kettering.

Salary 30000 plus bonus

Type Permanent Full Time

Working Pattern Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

This role involves the management of a variety of teams and tasks to ensure the efficient and effective running of projects and sites.

We are looking for a conscientious and ambitious individual with excellent leadership and time management skills.

Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Managing and monitoring projects.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and pursuing them.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients on their sites.
  • Noticing and attending to any special needs and service issues on projects.
  • Planning pricing and scaling projects and general tenders.
  • Ensuring quotations are accurate well-presented and planned as economically as possible.
  • Obtaining appropriate samples for projects in co-ordination with the Buying department and working with normal Designer Contracts suppliers wherever possible.
  • Assisting with measuring on sites.
  • Liaising between multiple teams including those in the regional office and those on site.

Key requirements:

  • Confidence and a positive can-do attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence so site visits can be carried out.
  • You may be required to drive a transit sized vehicle.
  • A DBS check is a requirement upon a successful application.
  • Will be required to gain a current CSCS card
  • Must be willing to gain a Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification.
