Join the Recreation & Parks team as we work to make Brooklyn Park a thriving community inspiring pride where opportunities exist for all! This position provides customer service and administrative support to the Recreation & Parks department and the Community Activity Center. This role provides general administrative and clerical support and services to Program Supervisors and theFacility Coordinator.
PLEASE NOTE: The eligible list created from this exam may be used to fill Program Assistant positions as they become available in other departments within the City.
Answer and route phone calls and greets/directs walk-in public. Assist with potentially emergency situations from the public or co-workers.
Perform department activities and services such as processing program registrations refunds and requisitions.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience
Two (2) years of office or administrative assistant experience.
Equivalency
An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to catch errors inwork.
Skilled in organizingmultitaskingand prioritizing work in a deadline drivenenvironment.
Skilled in using Excel Word and email software applications.
