JOB SUMMARY:
As an Asphalt Project Manager this position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the construction projects and will be the primary client point of contact regarding the project from scheduling to completion. - Primary duties include overseeing construction projects for construction contracts administration project management and quality assurance duties.
- Assists Superintendents with plans and specifications interpretation.
- Manages monthly pay estimate process working with client and internal team members to ensure that all completed scope is accounted for including change orders and extra work orders.
- Drives/travels to project/work locations to make on-site construction progress reviews project meetings scope conflict resolution and provide technical support to superintendents as needed.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
- Directing and establishing project objectives in coordination with client and internal RAC needs and restrictions.
- Trains/Coaches junior project staff.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: - 5 years experience working within the TxDOT construction sector at least 5 as a project manager or superintendent (Asphalt experience is Plus)
- Must have a valid drivers license and pass company insurance DMV records search.
- Must display a sense of urgency professional demeanor positive attitude strong work ethic.
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work with a team and independently.
- Must be able to work in a high production environment and meet deadlines.
- May have to work nights and weekend shifts if a job requires.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
