Job Summary: The Assurance Manager is a critical role within our Customer Trust Payment Risk team responsible for developing implementing and overseeing sophisticated risk management strategies to safeguard our payment ecosystem. This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of financial risk regulatory compliance and advanced data analytics to protect both the company and its customers from fraudulent activities and financial losses.

Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
oContinuously evaluate and enhance risk models using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management strategies into product development and business operations.
Compliance:
oStay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes and proactively adapt risk management strategies to meet new requirements.
Analytics and Reporting:
oLeverage big data technologies to analyze vast amounts of transaction data identifying patterns and anomalies indicative of potential risks.
oDevelop and maintain sophisticated dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights on risk metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
oUtilize predictive modeling and scenario analysis to forecast potential risk exposures and their financial impacts.
Management:
oCommunicate complex risk concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders including executive leadership and board members.
oBuild and maintain relationships with external partners including payment processors banks and technology vendors.

oStay at the forefront of emerging technologies in risk management such as AI-driven fraud detection and blockchain-based identity verification.
oSpearhead pilot projects to test and implement innovative risk management solutions.

- 5 years of compliance program management legal governance audit risk/loss prevention or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information

- 3 years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
