The Town of Sharon is accepting applications for the full-time (40 hours/week) position of Senior Water Technician within the Water Department.
The successful candidate is responsible for highly skilled technical administrative supervisory work in installing maintaining and servicing the town water system and in the operation and preventive maintenance of specialized equipment used in the testing of the town water supply and in the operation maintenance and repair of the town pumping stations and general water system activities.
Position requires thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations governing municipal water supply and the ability to perform laboratory and water treatment tests and analyze the results.
Works as part of crew to repair leaks and main breaks installs new services installs and repairs hydrants and repairs gates. Assists in the execution of projects and programs to repair maintain and construct water mains hydrants fire lines and other structures of the water distribution system. Flushes hydrants in Spring and Fall.
Qualifications & Experience: High School Diploma Massachusetts Class B Commercial Drivers License Drinking Water Supply Facility Operators Grade III Distribution License Drinking Water Supply Facility Operators Grade I Treatment License. CORI check and mandatory drug testing upon hire.
Starting Annual Salary: $64105 with generous benefits including health dental vision life and disability insurance flexible spending accounts and retirement plans. Overtime opportunities available.
