CNC Programmer Precision Manufacturing (Aerospace & Defense)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our precision machining team. This individual will play a key role in programming complex components supporting production efficiency and ensuring high-quality output that meets stringent industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Manufacturing Management Machine Operators Engineers and Production Control to develop and maintain CNC programs that support production goals.
Program CNC machines using Mastercam for 2-3 axis milling and turning operations.
Work with a range of CNC platforms including Okuma Haas Mazak and FANUC.
Utilize SolidWorks for CAD and design-related tasks.
Interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to guide machining processes.
Select appropriate tools and fixtures (e.g. end mills drills inserts and custom fixtures).
Maintain an organized library of programs setup sheets and revision control.
Conduct first-run prove-outs with operators or independently to validate program accuracy.
Continuously revise and optimize programs to improve quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college education is a strong plus.
Minimum 8 years of hands-on machining experience with at least 4 years of CNC programming.
Strong experience in Mastercam and familiarity with CAD tools including SolidWorks.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
Demonstrated experience in maintaining production schedules and collaborating across departments.
Excellent attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a unionized shop environment is a plus.
