The Payroll Analysts primary responsibilities is processing payroll in Workday
Key Job Elements
Responsible for processing domestic payroll in Workday on a timely and accurate basis
Analyze payrolls to ensure proper handling of earnings and deductions
Coordinate the handling of garnishments support orders levies etc.
Update and maintain payroll and other financial records includingpreparing account reconciliations and processing journal entries
Ensure compliance with local state and federal payroll tax regulations
Manage responsibilities with the third-party payroll tax service provider and applicable tax files
Review and implement legislative and regulatory requirements as well as corporate policy revisions for payroll
Assist with various audits
Generate reports from Workday
Work with a team and communicate effectively with employees cross-functional groups and third parties
Assist employees with payroll related issues
Provide backup support in the absence of payroll team members
Assist with special projects
Identify and implement process improvements

Required Qualifications/Education/Skills
High school diploma required
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
Knowledge of payroll taxes and garnishments
Knowledge of payroll processing and related payroll taxes
Experience with Excel and Word
Capability of organization prioritization and attention to detail Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with a team
Data analysis conflict resolution and decision making
Travel
Less than 3% travel required
