  • Suffolk County Council Endeavour House Ipswich IP1 2BX - Hybrid
  • 46670 per annum (pro rata for part time)
  • 37 hours per week - Flexible working options available
  • Fixed Term or Secondment for 6 months

Your role and responsibilities

Working to a Strategic Commissioner within the Strategic Planning and Resources Strategic Housing and Support Team this role will support the future commissioning intentions for Adult Social Care Supported Housing services delivering against key transformation programmes and the People at the Heart of Care principles.

Your primary role will include but not be limited to.

  • Assessing 3rd party spend in Supported Housing across Adult Social Care including current and future cost and price modelling.
  • Assessing future demand type of accommodation and new models of care and support in Supported Housing across Learning Disabilities and Autism Physical Disabilities Acquired Brain Injury and Sensory needs alongside the current portfolio within Suffolk.
  • Scoping the future approach to commissioning accommodation and support opportunities in Tier 3 services.

You will need

  • A strong understanding of the Commissioning cycle and proven experience of commissioning services.
  • Strong market intelligence data and financial analytical skills.
  • The ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders including service users providers and public sector partners.
  • A strong understanding on the importance of co-production.
  • A good understanding of the People at the Heart of Care principles.
  • A passion for making a positive difference for Suffolk.

Our services matter to people and you will be at the heart of making sure that we get it right and outcomes for people are improved in Supported Housing.

The team has embraced hybrid working and you should plan to be in the office a minimum 2 days a week. To promote team interaction our office days are usually Mondays and Wednesdays.
