Salary: MPS or UPS depending on experience

Hours of work: Full time

Westbury Church of England Junior school is situated close to the centre of Westbury; it is a large junior school with extensive grounds. At Westbury CE Junior School every child is offered their moment to shine. We are looking for an experienced teacher to join our resource base full time.

All about the role:

We are looking for an inspirational teacher who:

  • has an excellent understanding of how children with all types of SEND learn and the best practice to support them achieve their full potential
  • has experience of working with children with specific needs such as autism and speech and language difficulties
  • A comprehensive understanding of how to adapt teaching and the curriculum to meet significant needs
  • Has knowledge of EHCPs
  • Has experience of EYFS KS1 and KS2
  • Experience of creating ILPs using information in an individuals EHCP
  • is innovative creative and has high expectations passion and commitment
  • is a talented teacher who thrives on challenge with excellent classroom management skills
  • can create an engaging fun and exciting learning environment works effectively and collaboratively with others including parents and professionals from outside agencies

The successful candidate will need to:

  • be willing to embrace support and develop the Christian ethos of our school
  • be a team player
  • lead inspire and motivate children
  • have high expectations and excellent classroom practice
  • have a desire to improve their own practice further
