Public Health - Championing Community Well-being
Are you passionate about supporting and empowering disadvantaged communities Join our Public Health Team as a Community Conversations Lead and work with people from different walks of life to help them to take control of their own opportunities.
As a Community Conversations Lead you will support communities to identify and resolve complex issues. You will represent the Council within the community build and maintain credible relationships with community leaders and residents identifying networks and increasing trust and confidence in the Council. You will be working to reduce inequality improve outcomes and support our communities to have access to opportunities that are open to everyone in Wiltshire.
You will need to be prepared to occasionally work out of hours to speak with community members attend local meetings events and activities as well as being the point of contact for community members when they need support and encouragement even when its not a convenient time for you.
We are looking for a candidate passionate about driving inclusivity building trust and meaningful relationships being innovative and not afraid to try out new ways of doing things and being able to confront bias and challenge the status quo. To be successful in this role you should have substantial experience in working with improving outcomes and supporting people to resolve complex issues as well as being a good listener and being able to pick up on what is being articulated between the lines.
