The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of goods for specific product lines which meet or exceed customer schedules while driving continuous cost and process improvements.

Key Position Functions:

  • Initiate and maintain routings and work orders as per requisitions received.
  • Establish manufacturing lead time allowances for production.
  • In conjunction with Product Engineering and Quality Assurance Department (QAD) establish prepare maintain and approve manufacturing methods through process routing.
  • Establish manufacturing lead time allowances for production.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing quotations and cost controls on standard and special products.
  • Provide lead time information on quotation requests order review of new requirements delivery updates and monitoring of orders relating to Master Flo products.
  • In conjunction with Purchasing coordinate all materials and deliveries for work orders.
  • Coordinate work order flow through Plant via:
    • Planning with Shop Floor Supervisors.
    • Creation of delivery schedule minutes and meetings.
    • Direct discussions with Edmonton Inside Sales and International Sales groups.
  • In conjunction with Purchasing and Sales Departments establish and maintain inventory of sub-components related to finished product.
  • As required assist Production Coordinator for farm outs with the issue control and coordination of farm outs including maintaining farm out supplier base in the Approved Vendors List (AVL).
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health Safety Quality and Environmental regulations or policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations/Production Manager.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Graduate of an Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Technology Program OR;
  • Three to five years of Manufacturing/Production Coordination (or equivalent) experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as Excel Word and Adobe.
