As an Artifacts Director of Software Engineeringat JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Office you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams technologies and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software applications technical processes and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
- Makes decisions that influence teams resources budget tactical operations and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business product and technology teams
- Champions the firms culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
- Work collaboratively to ensure team and organization standards are followed and the team is consistently focused on continuous improvements and sustained delivery.
- Employ simple design and pragmatic implementation techniques to drive business value.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10 years applied experience. In addition 5 years of experience leading technologists to manage anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- 15 years of software engineering experience with firm understanding of various design patterns cloud native microservices architecture and engineering practices
- Strong experience working with Java Spring Boot and Oracle along with good understanding of pypi nuget npm and maven build tooling
- Comfortable in more than two programming languages with a strong understanding of fundamental web/internet technologies.
- Experience with both Private and Public clouds ranging from IaaS to PaaS solutions. Hands on experience with Docker Kubernetes AWS EKS and ECS is required
- Practical experience with unit testing using tools like JUnit and Mockito
- Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
- Experience with hiring developing and recognizing talent
- Expertise in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
