We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Front Office Manager to support the day-to-day leadership and operational excellence of our Front Office. This hands-on role champions exceptional service drives guest satisfaction and upholds Hilton standards across a dynamic team that includes Front Desk Concierge Duty Management and the Executive Floor.

Hilton Adelaide is centrally located overlooking Victoria Square. The hotel has 377 rooms ranging from guest rooms to the executive floor and suites. Hilton Adelaide offers unrivalled conference and events facilities comprising of 19 meeting rooms. It is the only 5-star hotel in Adelaide able to host 500 delegates to meet eat and sleep all under one roof.

What will I be doing

As Assistant Front Office Manager youll lead by example in delivering warm personalised and proactive guest service. Youll coach mentor and empower your team while ensuring smooth and efficient front office operations at all times. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead support and develop the Front Office team fostering a culture of ownership teamwork and guest-focused service.
  • Be present and approachable in the lobby engaging with guests and providing a visible leadership presence during peak periods.
  • Drive performance by monitoring guest feedback (SEP QA TripAdvisor Hilton Honors Kipsu) and implementing improvements.
  • Manage daily shift operations including check-in/out guest communications lobby management and VIP arrivals.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns using Hiltons HEART model and Make It Right service recovery tools.
  • Collaborate across departments (Housekeeping Engineering F&B) to ensure a seamless and memorable stay for every guest.
  • Champion upselling strategies monitor room revenue and ensure accuracy in billing and cashiering in line with Hilton policy.
  • Oversee credit procedures security protocols and adherence to brand and compliance standards including WHS.
  • Lead departmental initiatives and contribute to the strategic development of the team including training succession planning and performance reviews.

What are we looking for

Were looking for a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for operational detail. You will ideally bring:

  • At least 2 years experience in a Front Office leadership or supervisory role preferably in a large high-volume hotel.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members both in person and over the phone.
  • A qualification in hospitality or hotel management (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication coaching and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with hotel property management systems (OnQ experience advantageous).
  • Ability to work under pressure think on your feet and make confident decisions.
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

  • A current First Aid certificate RSA and unrestricted Australian drivers licence all highly regarded.
