Job Description
Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager for a high visibility role supporting Amazons Prime Video leadership team.
Opportunities abound for impactful analysis process improvement and scope expansion. Primary responsibilities will include management and reporting of Headcount and Operating Expenses and delivering strategic and insightful ad hoc analyses to our leadership. This role requires a candidate that is eager to learn about the drivers of the global prime Video business and comfortable interacting with business and finance leaders. The right individual will have exceptional financial modeling skills and the ability to consider opportunities and challenges facing the business.
This candidate must have the ability to influence the decisions of business partners through effective verbal and written communication logical reasoning and the presentation of alternatives. The ability to think and act quickly under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities effectively is a must. A proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and delivering recommendations based on this analysis is a requirement for this role. Successful candidates will have the initiative to anticipate business demands of senior-level business managers.
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
- 5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5 years of identifying and implementing opportunities to resolve finance issues improve scale or simplify finance tools technology and processes across teams and organizations experience
- Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
- 6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
