Job Description
About the role:
This position will report to the Materials Management Manager as part of Supply Chain team.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Materials Management Specialist to support the continuous improvement of purchasing and inventory processes. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Warehouse Quality Technical Services Finance and Procurement to ensure efficient material flow and supply continuity.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the analysis and redesign of purchasing processes to enhance efficiency and service levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to streamline material change processes and optimize workflows.
- Contribute to supplier evaluation and classification based on performance metrics (e.g. OTIF).
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and synergies across material categories.
- Participate in NetZero and sustainability initiatives related to material management.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels in alignment with demand and market trends.
- Propose packaging optimization strategies to reduce warehouse space and improve logistics.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Strong influencing and collaborative skills across diverse teams and profiles.
- Positive and people-oriented eager to propose and share ideas open to learning and motivated by challenges.
- Highly organized and structured yet flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Innovative and change-oriented with a track record of managing transformation effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken.
- Oriented toward the application of artificial intelligence solutions in operational processes.
- Solid knowledge of supplier management and relationship-building practices.
- Project management skills and the ability to develop and present compelling business cases.
- Bachelors Degree required preferably in the fields of Supply Chain/Business/Economics
- 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
