Applicants should have:
- Experience with Construction Equipment
- Sany Rokbak Caterpillar Komatsu and John Deere equipment would be an asset
- Ability to work independently
- Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road and/or On Road
- Good Problem Solving Skills
- Valid drivers license abstract required
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- 2 to 3 years experience work on Heavy Duty Off Road Equipment
- Potential candidatesto need valid Off road equipment ticket from their province if not in possession of Red seal or Off Road ticket; be willing to challenge exam and/or Red seal within 6 months
Job Duties to Include:
- Running repair on off road heavy trucks heavy construction equipment
- Repairs on bulldozers graders loaders dump trucks and excavators
- Will require ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions determine extent of repair required adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Instruct apprentices keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Interact with customers and operators with a positive attitude
Pay Structure:
- Industry competitive wages and above
- Overtime at time and half after 8 hours/day
- Night shift premium
- When in the field Hotels/Condo are paid travel time paid as well living out allowance if sent away from branch for work
- Headwater will assist with moving expenses
- This is a permanent full time position
Other Requirements:
- Pre employment Medical exam
- Some sites we travel to require you pass a drug screen
Shift Structures:
- Overtime is paid at time and a half
- Shift is Monday to Friday with potential Saturday work if required
Locations:
- We are looking for mechanics to be based out of the Saskatoon Area - if field work is slow we have our field technicians work out of other locations. Our other locations includeCoalhurst Calgary Edmonton and Saskatoon
- We have expanded our service field of scope
- Our mechanics must be willing to travel to remote job sites travel time accommodations and living out allowance paid for travel
- Locations include Coalhurst ABCalgary AB Edmonton AB Saskatoon SK as well as remote work locations include South East BC Northern AB Southern SK and Manitoba
- Our main shop is at 5-92041 River Ridge Road Coalhurst AB (5 KM West of Lethbridge)

We are a Heavy Equipment Sales and Service company we refurbish and repair late model Cat/Deere/Hitachi heavy construction equipment. We are a Sany Equipment and Rokbak Articulated Truck dealer as well as a Cummins and Scania Deutz and Isuzu Certified repair center. (Dealer training is available for technicians interested). We are a family run business that believes its employees are its greatest asset we do all we can to ensure our employees are satisfied with their position within our company.
We run a fleet of late model 3 and 5 Ton service trucks our trucks are top of the line and we run only 1 technician per truck.
