Description

We are seeking an experiencedDataEngineerto join a high-impact project implementing a new data lakehouse environment. Reporting to the Data Analytics and Reporting manager and working closely with the project team you will be pivotal in driving the data ingestion modelling and maintenance data pipelines in the data lakehouse environment utilizing Databricks. Ensuring data is effectively collected stored and organised for seamless querying and analysis. Youll take charge of data engineering needs leading projects independently collaborating with a broader team and working with internal and external vendors.

This is a 12-months max term contract.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:

  • Designing and overseeing the implementation of end-to-end data architecture solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Azure Databricks Data Factory and DevOps to optimise data processing.
  • Collaborating with a high-performing customer-focused team in a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring data quality performance and security across large-scale data environments.
  • Driving best practices in data engineering modelling and architecture to support business intelligence and analytics.

What Youll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or related disciplines are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory Databricks Pyspark SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and best practices contributing to a robust DevOps culture.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure networking concepts with hands-on experience in implementation and support.
  • You must be an Australian citizen and eligible for a security clearance.
