Key Responsibilities in Medical Assisting and Patient Care
- Obtain and record patient vital signs perform EKGs and assist with phlebotomy as needed.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) injections and prepare lab order forms.
- Support physicians or mid-level providers with patient referrals.
- Document patient progress notes accurately in EMR systems.
- Conduct patient follow-up calls to review progress answer questions and address concerns.
- Help ensure an outstanding patient experience by creating a welcoming and friendly clinic environment.
Medical Assistant Administrative Duties & Office Support
- Answer and route multi-line phone calls efficiently providing excellent customer service.
- Confirm patient insurance.
- Assist with daily scanning uploading of documents and maintaining organized patient files.
- Monitor daily inventory levels for clinic and office supplies.
- Help train new team members as requested by managers or providers.
- Support clinic marketing initiatives and contribute to clinic success.
Qualifications for Medical Assistant Opportunity
- Medical Assistant certification required.
- Experience with EKGs phlebotomy and administering injections strongly preferred.
- Front office experience in a medical setting especially insurance and VOB knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask think critically and maintain confidentiality across all interactions.
- Healthcare experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Training or experience in exercise science a plus.
